Alpine Escape 2025 Itinerary

Briefing - The Rendezvous

Meet first on the Saturday night for a briefing at our overnight stop near the Eurotunnel in Kent.  A great chance to meet the rest of the convoy and the Octane Run team before an early night – it’s a big day tomorrow…

Day One - The Convoy

An early start at the Eurotunnel in Dover sees the convoy travel over 600 miles on our journey South through France.  It’s a long day but beats flying.  There are plenty of opportunities to stop and a far better lunch then one you would get on an airline!

Day Two - The Climb

The route for day two climbs from the spectacular Alpine lakes, through the incredible vistas of the Western side of the French Alps, rising to to a monumental summit at almost 2800m above sea level.  Our final descent takes the Octane Run pack to the ski village of Val D’Isere.

Day Three - Hairpin Heaven

From snow lined mountain passes to the wickedly smooth switchbacks of Italian Cols and long, flowing valley roads.  We start high, working down to the beautiful Lac D’Evian near the Swiss border.

Day Four - Hidden Gems

Discover the undiscovered parts of Switzerland as the Octane Run convoy winds it’s way East.  Hidden lakes and a breathtaking glacier are highlights of this incredible day before kicking back at the end of the day with time to relax.

Day Five - The Como Decision

Octane Run heads further east toward Bormio and the bottom of the Stelvio Pass. Elevations, panoramas, and more brilliant roads to burn their images to your minds forever.  Or have a slightly more relaxed drive with a lunch view like no other… Lake Como.

Day Six - The Early Start

There is simply no better way to start a day than having the legendary Stelvio Pass all to yourselves. Waking at sunrise, this Italian Job setting is left all to Octane Run’s disposal.  After, we head East to sample some of the fantastic Austrian Alpine Passes.

Day Seven - Austrian Ascent

Waking up in the Alps for the final time is not a disappointment, the views at breakfast are breathtaking, preparing us for the climb North, through the Austrian Alps and into the Black Forest of Germany.

Day Eight - The Trip Home

After the award ceremony the night before, with a heavy heart (and probably a heavy head) we head for Calais marking the end of our nostalgic and wonderful adventure.
